Surgo Construction’s, Pete McGlen is one of only two in the Country to be shortlisted for LABC Warranty’s, The Bricks ‘Unsung Hero’ award 2018. The nationally recognised award celebrates those who go above and beyond the call of duty to complete the job.
The Bricks recognise and reward the exceptional work of developers, builders, contractors and housing associations who go the extra mile, regardless of size, to deliver quality in construction. Not forgetting the hard work and dedication of individuals behind the scenes also involved in the development projects.
Pete was nominated as someone who can be relied upon to ensure everything runs smoothly, no challenge is too big a task, he is safety conscious, keeps welfare clean and tidy, and builds good relationships with other contractors and the client. He also has a great sense of humour and is fantastic for morale on site.
Jeff Charlton, director, said: “Pete is the first to arrive and last to leave site and nothing is too much trouble for him. I am delighted that he has been shortlisted in such a prestigious category, it is a great achievement and everyone at Surgo is proud, he really goes the extra mile.”
Pete said: “I had no idea that I’d been nominated, so to hear that I was one out of two in the country to be shortlisted for this award left me speechless. Surgo is a great company to work for and I am very appreciative of the recognition!”
