Surgo has obtained a place on the North East Universities Purchasing Consortium (NEUPC) framework Lot 1B.
This means we are eligible to bid for projects advertised with a value of between £1m-£4m in the North East region under the Minor Works Framework Agreement.
NEUPC handles tenders on behalf of the five regional universities:
- Durham University
- Newcastle University
- Northumbria University
- University of Sunderland
- Teesside University
The Minor Works Framework Agreement commenced mid-July and lasts for a four-year period.
Since our appointment was confirmed we have already had two opportunities and have decided to tender for a project at Victoria Building, Teesside University which was submitted mid-September. We await news of progress on this project at the current time (end September) and are hopeful of picking up more such opportunities in the future.
NEUPC is a non-profit-making organisation established to help universities and the wider public sector to maximise their budgets by adopting more effective procurement processes.
It is one of six UK higher education purchasing consortia established to deliver a wide range of collaborative framework agreements and provides collaborative procurement expertise, guidance and agreements that are aligned to, and actively support its members’ needs, values and objectives.
Surgo also recently obtained a place on the Dynamic Purchasing Systems framework for Prosper to deliver construction services over £1 million. Prosper offers several core services, including business transformation delivery, new build development consultancy and efficiency-driven procurement solutions for landlords, schools and local authorities in the region.
