Partial demolition, strip-out, major extension and refurbishment to form remodelled auditorium gallery, café bar, offices and back stage facilities. Together with associated external works.

Restricted live site.

Major structural works required.

High technical content including stage lighting and sound system.

Contract operated on a partnering basis.

Commended in LABC awards in the “best large commercial project” and the “best partnership with a local authority” categories.

 

Finalist in RICS awards 2010 in retail/leisure category.

 

Contract period/compliance with standards

April 2008-June 2009, extended by 18 weeks to accommodate end user fit out and separate external works contract.

 

All works were carried out in accordance with trade/professional standards and were completed on programme and within budget.
